The nearest airport is conveniently Edinburgh Airport. They even provided a microwave, fridge, and oven for my master chef skills. And the icing on the cake, free WiFi and city views!
The only thing missing was a red carpet welcome, just to match the poshness of the place.

The apartment had free WiFi which was extremely slow and unusable, but hey, at least I got to enjoy the city views while waiting for Netflix to load.
Who needs a functional microwave or a comfortable mattress when you have a bathtub and lots of closet space, right?

The location was superb, with all the main tourist attractions, restaurants, and shopping district within walking distance. The apartment was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with coffee, tea, and all the facilities needed for a self-catering stay. The owner even left us a nice welcome gift of chocolate and wine. Another advantage was the abundance of heaters in the apartment, which was perfect for the cold Christmas weather.
There were a couple of drawbacks during our stay. the block and stairs to the apartment were quite winding, making it difficult to climb with heavy luggage.
